Have a look for posts from DATATEK. He was the first to find a massive Alphaline battery from Battery Megastore that apparently is the biggest with the mostest that will fit in the battery tray.

I just measure the space and rang the local battery specialist and ask for the biggest battery that had the correct dimensions all I know is it is a 12volt lorry battery

Battery megastore on line Alphaline 135Ah 1000CCA Voltage drop will depend on where you measure it, air temperature, state of charge of the battery and the condition of your starter motor, wiring connections etc.
On a diesel in cold weather it can drop to 10 volts or less on cranking.

Cheers for the info. I was wanting the battery in a hurry. Mine drops to around 5 volts when cranking so I got one from a local supplier. Not quite as powerful as the one you guys have used but 775 Crank and 105Ah will be plenty enough.......... I HOPE.

I had 2 of those Alphaline batteries die on me. They refuse to refund you so I now have a third taking up space in the garage. I've got on a Bosch battery now and it hasn't been a problem at all. Went 2 weeks without using my RR at all, came out and **** cranked first time without problems.
