think its a 2003 not sure about it much, but he says its all fine and no probs, is that a tad too much, he has had 3 people walk away from it so far, but he didn't say much as to why, he said they were tyre kickers

I think its very roughly in the right area. The price will be be even higher for a pampered low miler, and cheaper if it looks like its been in a pub fight. Has it been in for its free front diff repair - I've heard (via internet gossip, not a LR dealer) that the free goodwill repair period has now ended.

Its owned by an old codger, so i dont think the mileage will be excessive, as for the diff I will have to ask him

Is it a diesel if it is sounds about right others on autotrader /ebay for that ,if its a V8 to much loads on autotrader for 8K ,biggest thing is front diff if it hasn't been done ask a dealer about it if they'll do it if not walk away you'll find loads of others if you look and take your time .

if its diesel check the box. Any hesitation in moving off when first put in drive or reverse then dont just walk away I would run and hide under a bush so he can't follow you. TD's have a gearbox weakness that means the life expectancy of the average is 60-80,000 . its a unsolvable problem that requires a new box. An atf transfusion will just delay the inevitable.

if its petrol and about the same milage check the alternator output as they fail and if it has the l/r service history.

if you have a fault reader or can borrow one plug it in as any recent faults may still be stored.

if it's well loved and pampered it sounds a good buy.
