ive wrapped my 90 in a silky white, its an old 90 but i always wanted a white one so the 2 options where paint or wrap and as im a signwriter and do wrapping the wrap was the obvious choice, the prep work is less than a decent respray prep and ye the joys are that log book doesnt need changing and it can just be peeled back off, most people think mine is painted aswell until i show them

Thats interesting mate. What quality of vinyl and has it had much use? I'm loving the colour having lived with it now for a few weeks. Just wondering how it will handle the thorny lanes I like!

5-7 year cast vinyl, tbh vinyl can outlive its given age depending how its looked after, hasnt really took any abuse as of yet, i did initially wrap it bright green but the mrs refused to drive it and wanted to kill me haha, it will help to protect the orgional paint work and should take quite a beating, it does look nice in the matte black, scratches etc will show the same as they willl on paint its just if you scuff it on something hard might need the sheet replacing on that panel if it pulls and tears

how much did the vynil cost eddie??

i buy direct from suppliers and have a good working relationship with them so that cost is a lot cheaper, price varys drastically depending on brand/durability and style of the vinyl

im only new on the forum and dont wanna be breaking any rules now do i. my main jobs window tints, but wrapping comes as part of the package, there may be traders on here who offer the service so im not gonna jump on their toes

It's not other traders you need to worry about. To advertise a business you need to talk to admin and sponser the forum first and they're a right bunch o bastids :p

thats who i dont want to get in trouble with ;) i just dont want to annoy any traders if there are any on the site already, it probably would gain an intrest more on the tints i would say but for ow i will use the site to be helped with getting my 90 leak-free...... ish haha

are you the scary admin man they have been talking about? i will offer my work p as a service if you wish but i will message the landyzone gods first to be clear

3 mins of my life I won't get back, cheers.

Nah I joke, I forgot it was originally silver!! Looks ace now like nothing had happened to it. Would you do it again? And would you have left it if you hadn't gone to the safari park?

It was done for nothing originally. I understand it would have cost about a grand to do. I think if you have a fairly new truck you want to keep looking good then a clear vinyl or a gloss finish would be good. It literally looks as though it's never laned. Basically it's perfect if you want to protect a new occasional laner.

The safari park damage wasn't that bad. It was literally an excuse to go back to silver!
