Hi All, just picked up my very first defender 90 yesterday on the way to holidays in Cornwall. Been my dream to have a Landi since I was a child, now I have a lovely 1995 land rover defender 90. Chap I bought it from was surprised I was a woman, but I've never liked girlie cars! My defender does have a lovely black and grey glittery paint job though, I do make some concessions! Already been to Landi End in her and she is now been named Demelza the Defender! Love the fact that she is a basic car with no computers or things that constantly beep at you! Gearbox is a bit crunchy and she doesn't like to go from 5th gear to 4th, you have to go to 3rd before u hit 4th and 2nd is very crunchy unless you double clutch. Will get it looked at when we get home. Any way just wanted to say hi and hopefully will kleen lots of useful advice from the forums. Plan to do a bit of off roading so will definitely be looking for advice! Cheers from The Dame in the Defender ;-)
