Vin number year

Just checked my vin number against this site

VIN Numbers

My defender matched great until it came to the year my car was first registered in1994 reg plate starts with m ! But according to my vin number on this website say it's. 1995 is the site wrong or anyone know what going on here?

Reg nos go from April to April so cover two years. What does your V5 state.

this one says it's 1995 model year

Model years usually start earlier than the actual year

Is that a private plate or the ABC 123 just coincidence.

Yes that what i thought but this seem to be the wrong way round in my mind ?

no not a private plate would like one just not giving all you lovelys every details of my car
