mmm, so could understand going from 2 pot to 4 pot is worth while, but is it worth it just for the slight increase in pad size then?

If required i can built you the complete package required (i work of a L/R dealer)

Will be £200 delivered.

The dust shields behing the disc will need a chunk removed, or you can use the ones off the 110 ones, FTC4838 and FTC4839 about £10 each...

I've always used genuine pads with standard solid discs and never had brake fade, thats the only reason for fitting 'vented'.
Last year I fitted EBC Ultimax front pads and do they grab much better than genuine, the question is will they last as long.
Years ago I did try Mintex but they only lasted 8000mls just one year with genuine lasting me 35 to 45000mls so won't go with Mintex again, back then it was Mintex £8 and LR parts £42 :)

Bought my vented kit, discs and calipers.

Do I need different bolts? to fit on a discovery? Somewhere I thought there were a change in bolt sizes or imperial to metric.

Or the bolts for a defender will work on any axle?

Thanks.

Depends on what Disco you've got and what calipers/discs you've bought as later 200tdi's and 300tdi's use M12 bolts (12 point socket needed) while the earlier 200tdi's use 7/16 UNF bolts (6 point socket).
If you've got the earlier type at present then you'll probably have to drill and tap the axle to accept the later type M12 bolts.
If you've got the later type then they should fit straight on but it might be worth buying some new bolts (FTC3375) as they're only pence each.

I've just been offered a combined order opportunity with 2 other guys (shipping to NZ is what kills it for me) and I'm thinking about brakes, cause they're not as good with 32s that 29s. Don't want to go vented, but here's what I thought:

-EBC Drilled and Slotted Front Rotors
-Extended S.S. Braided Brakelines
-EBC Ultimax Pads all round (cheaper than Green Stuff ones)
-Defender 110 Front Calipers

Any opinions on the overall setup?
Should I go ahead with it?
Should I be getting EBC rotors all round?
Cheers, Trillo
