Having taken the advice from this forum , i have checked out the rear sensors for clicking on my 05 Disco . One was completely dead and needs further investigation to check the wiring . But unusually the audible strength of click varied over the remaining 3 sensors . 2 were loudish but one was barely audible. Is it reasonable to assume this one may be on its way out as well ??

i've also got a fault on mine

the parking sensor light on the dashboard is flashing , did u remove ur sensors to test what ohms reading u got please

no faults shown though on the iid reader , so i assume it's a wiring fault

the ecu is that fitted on the passenger rear side panel isn't it , just by where the rear side locker bins are

may i ask how did u test ur rear parking sensors please , was it just the case of testing continuity

Had a fault on my (F2) parking sensors, luckily the icarsoft unit reads fault codes from the parking aid module - turned out to be a faulty sensor.

Does your reader have the capability to read the parking module codes?

guys , all i have done so far is litterally put my ear up to the sensors and listen whilst the ignition is on and reverse gear selected . Yes i have had the flashing switch and continuous beep . But i can park the motor up for the week and get back in the following weekend and it seems to have reset itself with no flashing switch or continous beep . I have yet to have the codes read .

had a look on my iid and it says all the sensors are reading 2.5m ,

yet they won't give any audible reading when i get near something

was going to start off my removing them and see what reading i get from each one via a multimeter

don't know how to get them out yet, lol

assume the flashing is a fault but there's no fault given when i read the faults on the iid
