Just a quick one really. .....
My Vacum pump has a slight oil leak so I was planning on taking it of stripping it down and cleaning it up then bolting back together
My question is will i need to drain the oil for me to take the vacuum pump off or will the oil be sat in the sump low enough?reason for this I've just replaced the oil last week
Thanks in advance

This is what i thought
Just wanted take sure as i couldn't find a definite answer when I searched
Thanks again

Certainly you need to remove the pump from the block, no oil draining necessary as stated already, should be no need to pull the pump apart, the reason it will be leaking usually is casing rivets loosening, you can simply remove a rivet at a time and replace it with a small bolt nut and washer.

I did mine, no oil to drain, removed it, drilled out all the rivets. Then used some sealant and 5mm set screws. Good as new. It's a good easy fix.
