T reg v8, passed it,s mot a few months back and generally drives a treat but on a recent trip up the m1 saw the steering wheel vibrate left to right violently at anything above 65mph if hit a drain cover, over banding, or the expansion joints over bridges. need to hit the brakes sharpish to bring speed down if you want to re gain control.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

There's no hope for u if you don't know what type of disco u own, D2s have been around for 13 years. Lots of info on Discoverys on the www :)

Start at the easy things such as an iffy steering damper it's easy to replace if it is.

Hi the symptoms you describe are difficult to diagnose, there are many components in the steering and suspension which can be responsible for the judder but in my experience it is usually more than one which is at fault as they all wear together, but usual culprits are swivel bearings, bushes securing front axle especially panhard rod bushes, and check all track rod ends, wheel bearings etc for play, also check drop arm from steering box, i think by then you will know the front end of your disco very well! good luck!

Which engine do you have?
