WANTING TO CHANGE MY OLD CLAPPED OUT CLASSIC 3.9 V8 ENGINE. POSS CHANCE OF A 3.9 SERPENTINE, THAT HAS COME OUT OF A AUTOMATIC. DONT WANT TO FIT A AUTO BOX, CAN IT BE DONE? WHAT ARE, IF ANY THE PROBS INVOLVED. THANKS.

just get pas pipes ,wiring loom ecu etc for the new engine,the rest will swap from your engine

Should be a fairly straightforward swap providing your flywheel on your old motor will fit the serpentine crankshaft after removal of the torque converter.
You may have to swap the exhaust manifolds from old motor as well if the serpentine one was on cats, think the flanges were different where the downpipes bolt on.
It can certainly be done, think of all the weird and wonderful motors that have ended up in Land Rovers over the years
