v8 defender or td ,tdi advice

im looking for a defender i know about the tD and tdi but know nothing of the v8 i was hopeing to swop my o2 plate bmw estate for the v8 ashley f as forsale on this site is this a wise move
the bmws worth around the same price hes asking

but is the price hes asking over the top or the right sort of money

i would appreciate your opinions before i dive in

Depends what you are gonna use it for...v8 is lovely...til you see the mpg if you use it often...i agree with jimbot, tdi, but only cos i do 150 miles a day...

its not the mpg that bothers me,its jus that am not a big fan of petrols.if i ad mor money than i ever needed,i still wunt run a petrol.now a V8 diesel,that is a engine worth avin.
