so what a bunch of useless tw@ts they are..

went to brooklyn 4x4 in southampton ..
no worries mate i will get the ones we have and match them up..
atlast a sensible person..
got the bits and was on my way

so why are main stealers so unwilling to help?

computor says no.....computor says no..tw@tss!!!

I find Brooklyn a pretty unhelpful bunch actually. Especially the woman who runs reception who apparently is a Director of the company. She appears to have a "can't do" attitude so I go to Keith Gott nowadays.

bet you take yer chassis number in future, would it be too much to ask, although they should be able to reverse lookup.

the car spares i use has a databse of every car, then books then a telephone to call the parts people they use!!!

uncle (mechanic) just calls the spares people and tells them the car and yaer. reg number helps but is not essential as alot have private plates. they package the part and deliver within the hour. wonder if its easier if you are in the game so to speak!

if you use a parts supplier on a regular basis you do tend to get your order a bit quicker, and with less hassle.

all valid points..but the main point being sometimes the chassis number is useless if youve replaced axles for disco/rangy items..

i had the part there on the counter and the lazy fecker couldnt be arsed to up up twelve stairs get the 3 different items the computor says they have and bring em back down and physicaly match them up

the independant supplier managed it with no probs..

There's way too much "can't be arsed" about these days. IMO it's a sign that they're making too much money far too easily. They're only interested in flogging you a new motor so they can rag your arse off with they're ridiculous servicing prices.
