US Insurance

Hello all
I'm new here and just had a quick newbie question on insurance.
So lets say I import the car I'm currently looking at, a 1989 Defender 90. It surely must have insurance despite being a classic car import.
Does anyone have any recommendation for insurance companies in the US?

Have you called any yet. With living in the US, surely you know more about US insurance than a Brit would. So as you know, full coverage, or just comprehensive coverage. also the condition and the valuation, as well as your driving record, age, miles driven per year, as well as your domicile, determine what you would pay per year
