Tyre size question

I know this has probably been asked 100 times but I have tried searching and I cannot find the answer.

I need a new set of tyres and cannot decide which size to buy.

Will 225 75 16 or 225 70 16 fit without spacers.

I have a lift kit that I am going to fit when I get time but I need tyres soon as the current set are near the legal limit

225 75 16 will need spacers and even then marginal for wheelarch clearance on full lock. Gave up after three pages of search results......

Next rainy weekend I may just trawl through the pages and pages of tyre posts and see if a definitive list can be compiled. Nah, where's the fun in that.

I'm running 235/70 16 Mitchelin 4x4 without any rubbing on standard suspension. I guess it's going to depend on how aggressive your tread is. The 4x4s aren't as chunky as BFGs but more At like than Latitude or Scorpions.
