Tyre/ Rim Size Question.

Yes yes, before you give out i have checked, and though there are some posts that apply they dont really answer my question :)

Tis simple enough, i have R16x7" Steel Modulars, i want to know how wide a tyre i can fit, ive looked at the list on the kuoki tyre calc website, and others too, and none of them seem to agree at all, so rather than follow the clearly arseways info on those sites, th question is, who has the widest tyre on a 7" rim :D
 
There's been a very similar post recently. Infact I think its still on the main page.... I think 265 is the limit. Lots of people running this size on 7" rims (me included)
 
A 285 tyre should really be on an 8 inch rim. I know people who run them on a 7 inch without problems, but maybe better to be safe.

If you were to fit beadlocks however, then that adds close to an inch to the rim, meaning that a 285 tyre on a 7inch rim would be ok :D
