They get through everything, on the road they are noisy, it's like driving a tank... but I dont have any soundproofing or carpets.
but then again, the disco is not my everyday car, so if I don't want noise I'll drive the car.

Not as good as drowning them out as my new ones

Yup, Deestones and Ratty, I know a v8 is loud but how the hell could you not hear them
I when I first got my Series, *** years ago, it had one Deestone (or was it a Goodyear Hi-Miler) anyhooo, it was the only thing you could hear when going along.....so need less to say it didn't stay on there very long
they look rather big!! ALOT bigger than mine looked, you sure they the same size? aswell as the grinder you might wanna get a 19mm spanner to adjust the steering lock nuts, cause with them you get a choice - rub the radius arms or dont turn - not turning is cheaper
have a look at mine, i did it saturday afternoon and didnt catch a single thing at the back all day sunday. only problem i found was the front wheel touched the top edge of the mudflap on extreme articulation, only rubber on rubber tho so if i dont get time to cut it down il just let it wear away - no damage at all on the tyres so not overly worried
