Afternoon guys and girls,
Looking at getting some new tyres for my 89 RRC. Thinking Grizzly Claws or similar. What I'm asking is sizes to go for.
I have checked on a couple of websites and found that 235/255 and 265 are available. Checked with ATS this morning whiel having tracking done and there book says that a 265 tyre will fit on the rims I have (standard Vogue three spoke. Current tyres are 205/80/16)
Is this safe as the tyre would be a fair bit wider than the rim?
Plus would I need spacers?
Or am I better off getting 8J steel modulars?

Thanks in advance

265?Thought 235 were the biggest woithout mods.My 235 scraped at full articulation.was ok on full lock though

I have no idea on the size without mods. First RRC that I have run. Hence the request for advice lol.
Running HD suspension if thats any help

Hi was about to post a similar question as I am looking at replacing mine with 205/80/16's or 235/70/16's on standard Vogue rims with standard height springs any thoughts on this ????

I'm running 205/80/16's atm. Had them on there since owning the car. Was on knackered suspension to start with. Never had a problem.
Think I might go upto 235 though. Really don't want problems like catching body work
Shame I have 2 sets of 205 at's to get through first

235/75/r16 will fit on std height car, a lift should remove rubbing on arches.Go wider than that and you'll catch on lock

Can I have 255/65/16 on a disco with hd springs, front not important as I guess they will be to wide looking above info etc, but what about the rear?

8j wheels
