Ok, want to 'man-up' the disco a little and (in my opinion) the 205 tyres look a bit girly in those big arches. Read all the threads I can find on what will fit without modding, but cant find info on what rim size to go for. So, I'm looking at 235/70 A/T's as I reckon they'll pad out the arches without having too much effect on either the fuel consumption or the handling. Will these fit on my std L/R disco alloys? To be fair, the 205's look a little narrow for the rims as the sidewall tapers inwards toward the tread but this could be normal for all I know. All advice gratefully received.

They will go on your standard rims fine. Most tyre out there will be fine on standard landy rims.

Got 265/70/16's BFG A/T's on my standard alloys - fills up the arches nicely, but slight cuts were needed, as was the bump stop adjustment - turns like a battleship now

Have you lifted it ??? Would have thought it would catch the inner top of the arch ???

Not when I had them fitted, and had quite saggy front suspension too...as dread to think how old the shocks were.

Have now lifted it by 1" with HD springs tho ;)

this was before I fettled the suspension...
