Front axle upgrade

Hi guys

I’ve done a search and can’t find the specifics I’m looking for.

I’m interested in upgrading my Series 3 109 1982 SW front axle to have CV joints and disc brakes. I can get a turnkey solution for £5k with all new shiny parts but I’m wondering if there’s a workaround with RR front axle or even a Defender axle. I know there are issues with a wider track and I want to keep the stock look without arches. I saw mention of specific wheels and offsets but no specifics. I actually like the look of series with wheels sticking out past the arches a little. Any specific advice about the wheels/tyre/offset combo would be awesome.

Disc conversion easy , have a search on here been done recently with kit Zeus? Defender RR axle swaps will have been done too have a search
Are you intending coils at front and leaf’s at back
