I have a TD5 2002 with the 18" wheels fitted
Already tyres size are 255x55x18
My question is
Can the bf goodridge 265x65x18 fit
If not what reasons are there any
Looking round tyre web site's I cannot see any bf in my existing size
Also phoned bf and they told me other size is closest to my existing
Thanks in advance

If you do what you are proposing you will raise the overall gearing of your car by approx 9%; this will have the following effects:

1. Your speedo will read 9% slow - when your speedo reads 60mph you'll actually be travelling at 65.2mph;

2. Your vehicle will feel over-geared and more sluggish, particularly in higher gears;

3. Your engine revs will be lower for a given speed/gear combo.

4. If it's an autobox car, the TC lock-up speeds will be higher, making the engine feel more revvy.

Unless you want these effects, why not stick to the std sizes?

Here's something to consider: All Terrain | General Tyres | Wheels & Tyres

Good luck and Merry Christmas to you

Dave
