L3, the smiley thing is not aimed at Norsey, you, or anyone in particular. It is just an offhand, passing observation on something that I am too old and boring to enjoy or join in with. That is probably me being jealous. I was trying to be humourously friendly, in response to Norseys comment on imogees of that nature, style o' thing.
Handling? Surprisingly, with the lift springs replaced with normal height ones, it handles as well as an RRC can be expected to. The tilt is a visual thing that looks disconcerting but does not seem to affect the ride. Worries me though, all the same.

Norseman, again, thanks for your kind words! I only get along (on the restore front) by dint of much crawling .In several senses of the word.
I too am an old person. Strange...I never used to be.

Old complainers of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your hair! Or your memory. Or something...

I must count myself lucky then, 72 with thick collar-length hair (grey of course) no false teeth but I do have two metal knees & you are 'oh so right about the memory!

Odd, they make most of them in Sheffield.

I did go private, if that makes any difference.
Total cost for both knees with all the extras like consultations, physio, X rays etc. was about the same price as a new mainstream family car which I thought was good value ... couldn't afford it now :(
