Have you used Turner Enginnering in the past?

I have, Get all my engine bits etc from them. They are very good, not the cheapest but very reliable and if you ring them they know exactly what they are talking about.

Thanks for your reply. I need an engine replacement for my Disco 2 V8. They seem to provide quality gear.

I got a performance unleaded head for my 2 1/4 from them about 18 years ago, and can highly recommend them.

A mate had his block repaired / top hat linered and assembled there. He was a happy chap

Got a huge internal oil leak.

Give them a ring and talk to Freda she knows her stuff. You are talking a lot of pennies though. That said in my opinion, you won't better anywhere else.

I'm going to have the chassis and sills checked and if there is no rust then I'm going to put a new engine in from Turners. If there's any rust I'll scrap it.

Personally if I was going to spend this kind of money, I'd be fitting ported heads and a high lift cam. Im pretty sure Turners will take your whole engine, strip repair re-liner port assemble.

Turner Engineering are a thoroughly honourable company,if you talk to either Richard or Frida you will quickly realise that they know their business.The problem is that they are doing it properly,using quality parts and procedures.This cannot be done for 50p,so you need to be sure that you can afford or justify the repair or rebuild in front of you.If the answer is yes, then they can help you do the job properly.

I've used them, they are super helpful and knowledgeable, great customer service.

Thanks guys. I'm going to check my car for rust, and if it's in good condition then I'm going to rebuild the engine good enough for Solihull to be proud!

Actually scrap that you have a V8 lol!

I had a recon 2.25 from them almost 16yrs ago, it is still going strong today, everything else has been rebuilt around it :lol:

I was looking to do a full engine PX on my current 200Tdi when it comes due replacement, for the cost, it's worth it, my Disco is a keeper
