Turbo

Help can somebody tell me how to take out the snap ring or circlip off to remove the Volute from my turbo?

Any help please.

tap each hole in end towards other then remove with internal circlipliers

I did mine as James said above needed the hammer and punch to free it off

Thank you for your replys.
I can move the circlip but can not lever the thing free using long nose pliers should I invest in the proper tool. When using the circlip tool will I need to get a screw driver under the clip to lever it out if I can get the thing off I should be able to complete the conversion ASAP.

you need a decent pair of internal circlip pliers ,not tiny **** ones that do both internal and external

I tired for ages with a couple of screwdrivers it may be possible with the engine out of the car but mine was in and everything was in the way.
So i had some large geared circlip pliers that i bent for the right angle of the dangle to do the job.
If you are just trying to move the casing it will move just fine using gentle taps from a hide hammer, it also moves if you stick the hammer handle into the snail hole and lever it around suprisingly easy but that doesnt help for the drilling and tapping, again may be possible with engine out.

Went out Friday to buy a gear box circlip pliers and wow the cir clip it just slipped off. With the engine fitted the wings were off.
