Turbo problem

Hi guys been a little while since I've been on this. Work !
Anyway just got into wife's freelander 1 and noticed when I put foot down
Loads of black smoke and a massive loss of power. So I'm assuming its the turbo that's gone ??

If its a TD4, more likely to be a split intercooler hose, do a search on here about checking them

could be a split turbo pipe or maybe a EGR issue

what engine do you have fitted L series or Td4

Right guys here is the story. It's a 01 TD4 with 117000 SE model. It needs a IRD box and a VCU and now this problem sorted out. Is it worth doing all this work on it ? In honesty it's a lovely looking wee vehicle. Lether air con electrics sunroof body spotless. What should I do ??

do the IRD and leave it 2 wheel drive that is what i have done to spread the cost later in the year i will be doing the vcu

plus the pipe i dnt see to be expensive
