Hi All,

Just drove to work and had a look under my bonnet as the car felt down on power in 3rd and 4th when at 5th it seemed ok. I have noticed the turbo breather hose was disconnected and the breather the yellow breather that only connects at one end is missing. Would this make the car drive sluggishly?

Many Thanks
James

Thank you for you quick reply. Really appreciate it. If the pipe is split will it cause any issues? I have got the pipe reconnected now to the Vacuum. Just strange it's happened halfway through my drive and that was disconnected.

You say you reconnected it, are you sure it should be connected to anything? There are 2 breathers under the brake servo area, a vacuum breather and ird breather, both vent to open air.

J_D thank you, I know that it needs to be vented to air but the other end has pulled off from the turbo vacuum control

If the filter is missing, then dirt, can be drawn into the boost control solenoid (the reason there's a filter on there), which can cause the solenoid to go sticky.

Also make sure the vacuum pipework from the accumulator to the boost control solenoid is in perfect condition, without any splits or cracks.
