triptronic

hi all have a 2004 v6 freelander so out of curiosity i thought i would try the triptronic on the auto box.
in D and pulled it right (to me)and nothing no sports singe in the display no changing gears if i pushed it forward
or backward just stayed in auto mode. have tried on the go and not moving.
have checked and changed the fuse even tho it was still good can only find 1 fuse for it
any one no of a fix or just leave it as is.

It's probably the switches or connections. There's nothing special about command shift, it's just manual switch that changes the gear. The computer will only allow changes inside a preset window however

The switches for Sport, + and - are all under the gear selector housing. The gear indicator board is under there too. I suspect that you problem is one of the switches is out of adjustment or is stuck closed.
