Transfer box swap

I tried searching through the threads but couldnt find anything relevant, sorry guys. Im about to remove the Manual g/box and trans box from my donor car, split them, and put the trans box into my auto. Ive read through the haynes manual and there doesnt seem to be anything too complicated although i am keeping quite a few evenings free to do it, as a novice with land rovers is there anything i should replace as a matter of course while i have them out, things that might seem obvious to you but a ballon like me might not think of, i have basics like instant gasket, threadlock ets but are there any gaskets etc i should replace? ta lads

alright pal i do believe the 300 manual transfer box wont fit a auto as i tried this a month ago and the depth in the input shaft is different

My advice : coz u will be on top of it, it's a cheap thing but at least u'll sleep well for the next 10 years. Buy genuine parts and replace all the bits involved in BIAS(springs, plate, bush pivot/yoke)....and adjust it carefully.....it could make a big difference.
