Trans fail safe prog

Hi my 2003 range rover td6 has just shown this fault then after this it shows transfer box neutral? any thoughts would be much welcome thanks

When I have seen this before its usually down to the rotary variable resistor on the transfer box breaking down.They tend to go open circuit giving an implausible value to all the ecu's.Not very easy to repair and the unit is about £550 from memory.There is a way round it if you never use low range.
Best to get it on Testbook first to see if that is actually what is upsetting it.

Thanks for reply, been out today with no probs, working fine,think some thing must be wrong for it to send message in first place, feel rather gutted only done 1000 miles in it!
