Hi, just a quick question, i am going to be changing the oil in my transfer box tomorro and was wondering what size square drive is needed for the filler hole plug? Its a 200tdi defender 1991???

No not on a wind up got let down today by a mobile mechanic so thought **** i'm avin ago myself tomoz.

Ah was just wonderin'... so many questions when a simple search would've sorted ye out.

fill with ep80/90 until it dribbles out of hole...

then stick the plug back in....

Changed the oil's today, some of the nuts i had to undo were a bitch and seriously over tightened, and the only oil that was knackered was the tranfer box oil. It was like baileys, quite creamy.

The gearbox oil did'nt drain out as much as i put back in. Weird! It was clear though. Cheers for all the info and pics buster. Came in handy today. It took me two hours to do the gearbox, transferbox and engine. I could'nt get the axle sump plugs undun so left em.
