Traction control randomness

Hi guys iv a discovery td5 manual on a 2001 plate,
My problem is after taking apart the hub assembly to change the CV boot, putting back together took out on the road the traction control randomly kicks in on flat dry road an pulls the car to the left.
It was the driver side boot I replaced, but I disconnected the sensor from the top of the hub, was the problem my doing an can it be put right or is it a new hub with factory fitted/set sensor.
