Track Rod Ends

I'm replacing the track rod ends on my 55td4, and have managed to get upto the part where you count the number of turns it takes to get the old track rod end off. this may be a real simple question but, do I twist clockwise or anti clockwise ? its stiff as hell and I just wanted to ensure I was turning it the correct way.

Sorted, got them both on !!!!

When I did mine I measured the gap with my verniers before I unscrewed the t rod end.Think it might have helped.
