Toyota vs. Land Rover

Hi, I am new to all this, but can anyone tell me why a Land Rover costs at least £18,000 and they still can't put a straight panel on them?

FFS who joins a landy forum, calls them self "Toyota man" and in his first post slags off landy's?

toyota copied the original land rover design but added their own asian influence back long ago. landy's were the first though. also the reason that landy's are more expensive is that they are more robust, better build quality and do not win races to the scrapyard. they also have a lot of character which you cannot find anywhere in a toyota.

A little jap crap story for you.
One day when her indoors let me out with the cheque book to fetch a radiator for the Rangie, I came back home with a Toyota Surf (what a TW@T!). I was in a mentally retarded state and was never let out with the cheque book again!
When I went across fields in it, her indoors indoors had to come and tow me home with the Rangie! One day I had to abandon my trailer in the field and come home and fetch good old Rangie. I have even got it stick on the front lawn
I have spent more time under the bonnet than in the car.
Could not cure this piece of metal. New cylinder head, new injector pumps and it still thinks it's running on coal!
I have now found the remedie for it, parked it out of sight and bought a discovery That's one hell of a lot better.
There are 5 discoverys, 2 Range Rovers and one defender in all of my family and NO PROBLEMS
What the hell happened to me that day when I was out with me cheque book I will never know, her indoors thinks I was taken over by aliens
So Mr Toyota Man go back to your planet and tell your fellow mates that their toyota crap doesn't make the mark!
