After some info my l series had a trailer light when connected and the td4 I have now has a beep

Anyone no what I'd have to do to get the Leighton the dash working I much prefer it

My TD4 (2005) has the light. When I fitted the towbar there was a relay that had to be changed in the fuse box to boost the indicator signal to the wiring behind the back panel and this made the trailer light in the clocks work. Maybe the relay was not changed and it was wired with a booster with buzzer instead. Where does the beep come from? Dashboard or boot? Some relays have a buzzer installed. Try changing the relay in the fuse box or look in the boot behind the panels to see how they wired it find the booster and alter it. I started the post below in 2009 asking about the relay:-

Hope this helps.

Its in the main box under the dash. Its the one on the right hand side at the end. The original had 3 spades on and the Hella replacement that made the light work had 4 spades.

It's not a booster relay, it just has an extra contact to light the dash light ;)

See I hate the beepers which is another reason why I love the freelander also seems my tailgate is not leaking aswell now the only wet I get is condensation under the carpets so seem to be on a winner

Who'd of thought a 206 tailgate seal would stop my dodgy seal leaking lol
