Jeff is it a Land Rover item, or is it aftermarket, if so you may pick a replacement up otherwise looks like the complete jobby thing. Bazz.

Is this the bit. If so it looks like it comes as a complete kit. Swan neck and mount.

Hi glad to hear you got one, I have some input for anyone looking for a towbar.

I looked for the same part and in the end replaced my towbar with one from Towsure
£99 less Caravan and camping club discount

I fitted my old Al-Ko ball but you could buy the detachable swan neck kit for another £99 less discount.

The towbar is very strongly made and fitted perfectly, all nuts bolts and washers were supplied. Instructions with torque setting was easy to follow.

Spray with Hammerite before fitting

I strongly recommend this bar and advise you not to buy second hand unless you know where it has come from and has not been obused or in an accident.

A friend borrowed a car to tow another car on a trailer and the towbar snapped with disasterous consequences, the trailer parted company on a winding road and trailer and load crashed over the hillside landing on the road below. Investigation into accident found the car had been hit from behind at some time and hairline crack had been the cause of the fracture.

Telephone Witter and ask for advice about second hand towbars and why they won't supply spares.

Good luck
Fred
