Hi group hope you can help. I recently purchased an range rover evoque dynamic sd4. 2011. Randomly I will get in the car and press start/stop. The car just dies total loss of power like the battery has been disconnected. Even the central locking fails. If I pop the bonnet open and shut it again the power comes back on.....so weird but I need to know what it is. Any help please guys.

to avoid the animosity of this site regarding certain models.

I'd suggest you go to an Evoque specific forum..

But i'd heed Wammers advice ;) :)

Hi all. I will take all the criticism on the ejoke, but thanks guys you found the fault. It was a loose connection on the battery. Thanks for your help. Ps I drive a 5 series a real car. The ejoke my daughter's. Pps if I bought a 4x4 it would be a Suzuki sj410. A proper off roader.

Lol..

might need a software update , baby RR forum link

http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-Letter-from-Landrover-about-EVOQUE-ECO-STOP-START-UPDATE

also look on the gov web sites ref any recalls

Press and hold the Valet button for around 30 + seconds and the hidden menu will appear
you can then check your software version

Software version after the update 3366_120109

ps , best idea is to remove ur post code

Even if it's real, no need. It's an ejoke ;)

One thread is one too many on the ejoke. Why the need to post two?
Possibly a cunning plan so the usual suspects posted their comments on the one thread & the answers were given on the other?
Has clearly underestimated the membership & it's a fail:)
