First off make sure you have the right nuts for the wheels. Believe it or not there are differences in the nuts between the various LR alloy wheels. Dont use the standard steel wheel nuts as they dont work and chew the wheels up.

Do 'em up tight using only the tools you have on the vehicle. Its probably you that will have to undo them at the side of the road in the dark when you get a puncture so dont use an air gun or a breaker bar.

Check the nuts after a 100 miles or so as they can come loose. If they are still tight when you check them then they will stay tight until you undo them.

Haynes book of lies says 108nm for steels, 130nm for alloys and there is another one for HD steels such as wolf wheels, 150nm.

I used to use haynes for years. Always thought they were better than Autodata(how old do I sound!!)
I took my details from the 300Tdi workshop manual from Landrover. I guess we'll leave Haynes and Landrover to battle out 8Nm?

I always say Copper grease(Copper ease and copper dab always sound a bit compromising(Not heard of copper coat)I like that one) Lol

To be honest, I would believe LR over Haynes anyday, Haynes told me to do something on my A-frame up to 200+ nm - which promptly sheered my new genuine parts bolts

Off topic I know, is Autodata still available?

TBH I have no idea - Last one I saw was for a 1981 Autin Metro (Blaaaa - I hated that thing - But my 95 110csw reminds me of it same light switch and stalks - almost the same speedo dial and the same fuel gauge - even the way the three pedals dont line up central to the steering wheel!!
Now I sound sad (oh and the internal light is the same as a 1993 rover 214!!)

 :D
