Hi, found the source of coolant leak on my Discovery 2. The top hose on the rad has a small hole in the middle of the vertical section that goes down to the steel pipe at the bottom of the rad.

It's been caused by the plastic clip on the power steering hose rubbing against it over a period of time.

Anyone know the size of that piece of hose, as I'm sure I can just cut it and splice a hose barb in to join it back again. The hose is in good condition apart from the little hole.

I've made a temp repair with epoxy to stop the drip, which has worked for now..

thx

get a proper genuine hose, most cost effective way!

I've got a spare one here if you want to have a go. It won't be any good as a replacement as the bleed screw and thread are missing, but the hose is intact.

Thanks for this sierrafery, I've seen posh bleed screws online but not the whole assembly - I shall save this for future reference.

OK removed the old hose this morning and then decided the best way would be to buy a new one.... one quick trip to my local LR specialist (Beam Ends) top hose bought & fitted :) No more coolant loss
