2.5TD, Replaced the Fuel Filter and tank seal yesterday (Probably a coinsidence). Bleed fuel through, took abit of starting but when it did start horrible top end nocking noise + white smoke :( Took the rocker cover off valves and push rods look ok, Moving fine. Restarts on the button, just noise and smoke.

Any ideas? I am thinking dropped a chamber or something...?
 
Taken the rocker cover off after the last run and it looks to be full of water :( Ffs, Why does it always happen when you really don't need it to :mad:
 
Head Gasket on No.3.... Fired it up without the rocker cover on. Let it tick over, turned it off and there is white smoke coming from the push rod holes. Oil is also being dumped in the exhaust.... (Coming out were the Downpipe joins..)

Oh joy...

did the tank seal cure the leak or have you not been able to check it yet due to the engine issues?

No.2 Piston has split in half (I managed to lift it out :eek:), I had gone straight though the side of the block. Fair play it for even starting :eek: Will upload some pictures in abit. But it ain't pretty :( Can't afford a 200 atm.. Dunno what to do...

Strip/Scrap it, Find and fit a 2.5TD or Find and fit a 200/300....
 
Ain't got anywhere to strip a 200Tdi Disco meaning i would have to buy a engine and that just ain't happening...

Last thing i wanted was another ****ing project :rolleyes:
 
get yer self a 200 tdi disco, ( il have one by the end of the month stripped )
or from a scrappy, take the engine and box out , anything else you need, then cut the ****er up and weigh it in :) only take a day to get it out and ****ed off , do it on the drive or the road , dunt **** about with it ,

I can do my office in Mitcheldean from Woking in 90 minutes on a good day. I dont go there every day but next time I go maybe we could sort something out? Would take a bit longer in the Defender but an engine would go in the back.
