Too much black smoke!!!

anyone know how to adjust the fuel pump properly.get the normal black smoke on startup but under acceleration when changing gear it throws out loads of black smoke.assume it must be unburnt diesel.help would be appreciated.

I am having a similar problem so I decided to search the old posts. I found loads of help and am now in the process of fixing it!

Is this for real?? could someone really be using the search function rather than boring the **** out of us with the same questions again?

Also have you checked the obvious....blocked air filter or even egr valve stuck open?

All been recently serviced,egr valve already blanked off. Haven't owned it that long so don't know what's been done on the pump. Need. Information to start from scratch.couldn't open link either.thanks
