Had my latest D2 a couple of months now, a well looked after ES with a couple of niggles to get sorted - aircon regas, heated screen not working and leaky transfer box but being really busy at work and home, i've put them off and admittedly neglected some routine maintenance. Anyway, noticed some backlash in the drivetrain and over the last week or so, a whine from (i suspected) the transfer box. "Low oil" i thought. So, off to halfrauds to pick some up. In the car park, i noticed my offside rear tyre looked a bit low. It has 18" alloys so the tyres are not as chunky as my old 16" ones where low pressure would be more obvious. I got out my pluggy-in tyre pump, to find it was at 20 psi instead of the 38 it should be! (The rest were fine) Drove home to find the backlash had all but gone and the whine had virtually disappeared! I seem to have a slow puncture so spare going on when i get 5 mins. Lesson being, remember to check your tyre pressures regularly!!
