to answer that think of the old original london black cabs ( they had the same engine as the series 3 ) they were renound and famous fer getting up to and around 3/4 million miles with regular servicing

ill bet the one in mine has round about half a million on the engine as it was originaly RAF then reconditioned bout 1976 then fully rebuilt by me late last year and shes running like new

I got a S3 88" Diesel - it ain't fast, it ain't oas comfortable as a modern car, it ain't too economical to run.... Yes it will make you swear once in a while, yes you will need to keep fixing bits...no it doesn't sound like a V8 but it does have a massive grin factor, just keeps on going and I would never part with mine!!!

aboiut 26 mpg max 55 to 60 caning it . anything other than flat will slow it down .need a good battery to start when cold . Thats what i remember from driving them when they were the current model
