Tip Tronic Issue?

I have recently bought a 2005 Range Rover TD6 and am having an issue with the tip tronic gear box.....I say issue, it doesn't work!

It still drives fine in normal auto mode but as soon as I shift into manual mode the shifter does nothing and continues in full auto.

Any ideas what the cause of this is?

Might sound silly but are you doing the right thing? I used to drive auto merc sprinters with tiptronic and it was a carnt if you'd not used it before..

When I move the shifter accross into the manual position the auto display on the dash still reads "D" instead of giving me a gear number.

It will move back and forth but doesn't change gear.

If you leave it in the auto position can you still bosh it up and down?

When you push it across the display should chasnge to "Sport" it won't display a gear number until you push it forward or backwrds.

Doesn't alter the the fact that you're, its not working as it should.

As for Hef, if its in Drive then you can't pull it back, nowhere to go to, and if you push it forward it will go into neutral. Try it next time your driving a TD6.

BTW Range Rover don't have tiptronic, or steptonic, its Command Shift
