Good evening guys and gals,
As the title says bloody tin worm has eaten the inner wheel arch under wash bottle downwards. I've got the easy on panels as to big to patch, so my question is can I bolt these on? And will that be OK for mot?
I await your knowledge
Dave

I done mine with patches a few years ago. It was a nightmare, but I didn’t strip it all down, and left the wing on.

Most of those are from of the footwell. I had to cut some of the inner wing away as well. The footwell issue, I think, stems from the foam sound deadening on the bulkhead trapping moisture where the loom goes through into the cabin at the glove box. You can see where I had to cut the rot away and weld a piece in. The loom was still in situ, but I wrapped a plumber’s soldering mat round it when I was welding.

Hi meego, that looks an amazing job well done, fancy doing mine lol? I really appreciate the pics buddy. It gives me a plan of attack and I never thought of the plumbers soldering mat. Great idea.
I've done the drivers side using patches which I'm happy with it's just the floor bit left that side. Thank you so much for the pictures buddy they help a great deal. Only wish you were local as I'd ask for your help.
Many thanks Dave

No problem. Order some bitumen sound deadening pads from eBay to fit when you’re done with welding and painting. They are self adhesive but use a heat gun or hair dryer to shape them in.
