Fuel heater in the top of the filter? That's a new one on me, whre does it get it's power from??:confused::confused:

A Veg/Petrol mix tends to fair better in cold climates. Derv/Petrol works well too. Helps keep it thin in cold weather and the petrol cleans the injectors for you.

My old Escort Van suffered in deep winter for the fuel thickening up so I'd add a gallon to a full tank (a full tank in the Escort was 45 litres). Every now and then in the summer I'll add a dash of petrol to a tank of derv to clean out the gunk. Although I have become cautious doing it with the P38 as I'm still now sure how robust the engine is. That old Ford derv could run on lumps of coal.
