Hey guys

I have downloaded RAVE from the land rover service factory manual RAVE download land rover resource, service manual, workshop factory manual, download, rave, vehicles including discovery, series, defender, range rover, freelander, LR3, Handbooks, Catalog, Catalogue, Land Rover Inte

I open the Auto Run info file and get information as below

autorun]
open="AcroRd32.exe Welcome.pdf"
icon=RAVE.ico

Problem is there is NO file called AcroRd.exe anywhere on the download in fact NO exe file I can find at all ?

I have tried opening the Welcome PDF but no joy

Please help me to get this RAVE working on my PC / Laptop (then I may be able to stop asking so many questions on here :) )

Cheers for any help or advice

I'm fairly sure that I'll be corrected, but it sounds to me like you haven't fully downloaded it. The full download is a massive file and takes a good 30 minutes on a normal speed ADSL line. That would be the starting point for me.
Good luck.

I have the full 577Mb :-( :eek:

You have to use the adobe reader that is supplied with RAVE as the later version are not compatible...

Also ensure you have no other adobe product running at the same time i.e. Adobe Updater or similar!

D/L, Extract and run the RAVE.exe application file...bingo

Don't think you have unzipped it. Unzip and install in a folder then you can run AcroRD32.exe Welcome.pdf

OK Will try this as I am using the latest version of Adobe professional read / write / edit so maybe this is it ?

It is unzipped but i just cannot see the file at all anywhere , even searched the folder I created and there is NO .exe file. I have now downloaded RAVE from 3 different locations and each time it is exactly the same :-( maybe the Adobe reader will help ? I'll let you know

I'm on Win 7 that should be ok ?

Cheers

I have the same RAVE from the same source you have used and mine works fine....I run Win7 64bit.....

I also have other versions of RAVE that covers different vehicle varients....

Here are my directory structures as attached....

RAVE_1 is known as RAVE20 and was the last edition of RAVE and covers the NAS L322's

RAVE_2 is the one I use most often as it covers the European L322....

A lot of the downloads are ISO files and have to be mounted using alcohol 120% or similar. If you are stuck, I can supply on CD. YOU HAVE TO USE THE VERSION OF ADOBE THAT COMES WITH THE DOWNLOAD.

Whammers, that is where I did download one of my copies from and the same result I'm afraid , its driving me mad :confused:

I use XP the best version of Windows, all the others seem to be various stages of crap as far as i can see. You just download it click on it and you get a box that says extract all. Click on that and then click on the extracted file then run the Acro file. Send welcome or RAVE symbol depending on version to your desktop as a short cut.

Whilst I may have some sympathy for the XP comment we are where we are, I'm running Win 7 Home Professional and have extracted the zipped files sucessfully the issue is there is NO Acro file :confused:
