Its cost me AUD $1800 and i cant even sell it for AUD $1000 had a guy from the UK look at it the other day and walk away because of the gearbox crunch he mentioned it went into all gears ok but reverse was grinding

When i removed the master cylinder i broke the little black plastic clip that locks the ball over the pin onto the foot peddle however the ball joint was still fine but the center plastic locking clip was removed do u think that 2mm clip could be why my gears are grinding? I couldnt find a replacement anywhere
