Had a gander at the Evoque over at my local main dealer. No one around as Sunday but took a few photos. Really surprised with how small it is. And with that high beltline and machine-gun bunker windows it could risk being quite claustrophobic inside. Also I found the styling poncey.. I really can't imagine anything further from the brand values of a Range Rover but what do I know.

Have a look.

Yep, bloody horrible, looks like a squashed Freelander, come to that the Freelander looks much better and more desirable. Reminds me of when they used to chop cars when customising. Does not float my boat, ok for poncing around in the city centre.

There was very nearly one less on the road today - pillock pulled out from his gated drive straight across the front of me in the Disco this afternoon.

Would have made an interesting impact test though & I reckon my '97 Disco would have come out comfortably on top :)

it has a major manufacturing defect the steering wheel is on the wrong side hope it still has warranty

i like them, look good..and you tell me who ever bought a range rover sport for off roading...??

eh?who...all bought for style...

now if evoque keeps land rover alive and well, then good..i bet they sell like hotcakes...

Had a drive in one about a month ago, very impressed with the seaing position and a good deal of poke from the SD4 engine.

Wouldn't buy one though as they are pokey inside, far too small and is the worst looking car I have seen since the fiat multipla came out

i dont know any of you ,so really should not comment..but do you wear smoking jackets and hush puppies???

Well I like them a lot! I think they look great and, if they drive as well as everyone says they do, I'd have one! Not as working car admittedly, but purely as a road car - why not??

I'd rather have an Audi A6 quattro as a road car tbh

Much more practical and a damn sight faster

I'd rather be a **** in an Audi than a hippo in a modified hippo

They are the most disgusting piece of **** i have seen in many a while.
Looks like they built special car for short people to look tall when stood next to it. Looks for all the world like something heavy has been dropped on the roof. Horrendous.:mad::mad:

Nice to know we can agree on some things :D

Morning all
I've had a go in one and all I would say is that you'd be better off getting a nice Freelander (if there is such a thing....):p
What I find more worrying is that I'm told that from 2012 they will be re-styling the Range Rover in the same style as the Ewok sorry Evoque....
I can't wait to hear what you guys will say about that.....:confused::confused:

Well thats what happens when cars get styled by hairdressers for wags, looks like they just want to cash in, i suppose it is like the way Burberry went, shame but it is the reality of today. If the new rangie gets styled like the Ewok (far better name for it by the way) it might come with a free pink hair dryer in the back seat.
