Hi all
As the title says my 200 tdi auto seems to be really thirsty, not sure if this normal as it is my first auto car or if there is something a miss, is there any checks I can do or common faults to look for ?
The previous owner ran it on bio diesel may that have something to do with it i.e perished seals ? really out of it when it comes to land rovers having run Peugeots since I passed my test
any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated
cheers :)

Lr's get **** fuel economy compaired to cars! What mpg you getting? How do you drive? people think auto's are a simple dummy drive but it takes some skill to keep MPG up in an auto!

Haven't worked out my mpg yet but I drive steady, don't thrash it, usually put 20 quid in on a Monday and by the time I get to Wednesday the fuel lights on but I only go back and forth to work Monday to Friday which is a 10 mile trip all round

a 200tdi is so old that the chances are some-one has fettled a little bit or she could just need a good service. Try adding a drop of 2 stroke oil or a small drop of petrol in the tank, help clean her out. Check all your seals to see if there is a leak!
