Hi All, The auto boot open/closer has stopped working. I have replaced the strut I thought was at fault but still no joy. There is a click though in the boot lid when I hit the open boot button on the key. Any ideas? Don't really want to replace the second strut yet at another £90 until I know if it might be something else. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ray

Are the struts handed ? Could you try the new strut on the opposite side. Unlikely both have failed at same time.
Just an idea.
Assume it does not work from two buttons on car or fob ?
Only random thoughts but you could try the connections behind the boot panel. There are connections for the struts plus a large connector for both before the loom goes through the top of the tailgate to another behind Left hand trim panel.
If you hearing clicks I would assume there is power so supply should be ok.

Hi, thanks for that. Well, the struts are handed but I couldn't find anyone with struts that were handed like mine, they said that they are all now universal. i.e for either side. Not sure that's true, may have to buy another strut.

I guess the only way to be sure is to try them. If the securing cups will twist to locate then that only leaves the connectors ?
I know they are both square but may have different keyways.
Let us know how you get on.
