Thinking about buying a 4.4 lpg range rover l322

Been thinking about buying a L322 4.4 hse with an lpg system fitted, currently on Flebay however the top end starts Knocking when it gets hot

Has anybody ever changed the top end if so what is it like to do ?

can it be done with the engine in or will i have to take out the engine ?
